The Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Ewha Graduate School recognizes the convergence trend in the life- and pharmaceutical sciences, and aims to deliver education and research by promotiong interdisciplinary approaches and programs.
The Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences strives to train students with the ability to conduct R&D and to adapt to new paradigms in the life- and pharmaceutical sciences into professionals capable of conduction cutting-edge research in life science and the new drug developments.
This goal is indispensable fo the changing pharmaceutical environments in Korea, knowledge-based society respecting the intellectual property rights, and th resulting shifts in the pharmaceutial market landscape makes new drug development a amatter of great urgency. These challenges are amplified by the rapid aging of Korean society and its side effects, which calls for the development of new pharmaceutical and other technologies for the betterment of people`s health and the surrounding environment.

In response to these current challenges, the Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Ewha Graduate School has set the following educational objectives:
① To defvelop the ability ot conduct research in unique and creative way to contribute to the knowledge-based in Pharmacy.
② To engender the qualities and capabilities needed to apply the knowledge gained based on basic research to applied fields.
③ To support the acquisition of the lastest knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical sciences and the application of the research results for improvement of human health and well-being.

The Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences will be focusing on graduate education and research on enhancing creativity and excellence in life- and pharmaceutical sciences. The graduate students will be the main man-force in researcher and professionals in newly advanced pharmaceutical-related industries, research institutes, hospitals and govemment agencies.
